Reading Fire Department will be out servicing and flowing hydrants throughout the months of April and May. If you happen to notice that your water is discolored during this time, don’t fret! Turn on large volume cold water taps, such as bathtubs or showers, and let it run for about 5 minutes or until the water becomes clear. This will help clear any sediment that may have been stirred up during hydrant maintenance.
