The Reading Fire Department wants to inform you that our crews will be out servicing and flowing fire hydrants throughout the next month.
If you happen to notice that your water is discolored during this time, simply turn on your cold water taps, preferably bathtubs or showers due to their larger volume, and let them run for a few minutes until the water becomes clear. This will help clear any sediment that may have been stirred up during the hydrant maintenance.
